About Rosa
Meet Mama Rosa, a resilient Belgian Shepherd / Malinois who embodies devotion and the drive for new beginnings. Her path started at a California shelter, where she stayed strong for her nine puppies. She nursed and protected them until each found safety through rescue. Rosa’s loyalty and nurturing spirit meant every pup got their shot at a better life. After being transported to Brixies Rescue Inc. in Bronx, NY, Rosa has kept impressing everybody with her progress. She’s picked up basic cues like “sit,” responds well to treats, and takes training seriously. She’s working on feeling more at ease around strangers and other dogs, taking things at her own thoughtful pace. In the home, she is observant and careful, and she gets along with children as long as supervision is provided. Rosa needs an adopter or foster who is experienced or breed-savvy, or at least someone dedicated to learning alongside guidance from trainers. She thrives with structure, patience, and steady, positive reinforcement. It’s her time now—she’s ready to be someone’s focus. As a fun fact, being born on November 25 makes Mama Rosa a Sagittarius—a sign known for its loyal spirit and bold heart. Click apply to start the adoption process.
