About Jacked Up Jack

Jacked Up Jack is a true survivor, wearing every scrape, scar, and crooked toe like a badge. He turned up with raw ears, a nasty leg wound, and teeth aching for the tooth fairy—all reminders of a rough old life. After months of care, Jack looks less battered, but he's still a scruffy, funny-looking guy with paws that curve like bent tree limbs. He doesn’t let his scars slow him down. Food lights him up, and if it's wet food or churu, he’s first in line. He takes a hard pass on the hard times now. Jack has a big personality with a sassy streak, loving attention in the right doses. He’ll lean into pets, especially head scratches, but will give you a gentle cue when he needs a break—especially around old trouble spots like his ears. Adults or older kids who respect boundaries suit him best. Over time, Jack even found himself enjoying the toddler in his foster home with slow, careful interaction. His favorite perch is the stairs, where he’s earned the title "King of the Stairs," and everyone who passes owes him the Jack Tax: head scratches or a session with a soft brush. Brush long enough, and you’ll get a glimpse of his silly side—his tongue droops out in pure bliss. At around ten years old, Jack would rather not share his new home with other cats. He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, FIV+, and ready to retire from the street life. For those who appreciate resilience and a whole lot of personality, Jack is unforgettable.
