Carolina is a 5-month-old female Corgi, small in size and currently in Thompson Falls, MT. She has been spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. Carolina’s still very young and should remain close to her sibling, Nevada. Expect her to grow to about 20 pounds as an adult. She’s starting to show more confidence, especially around dogs, and will thrive in a patient, loving home.

About Carolina

Carolina is a young Corgi who arrived alongside her close companion, Nevada, from a Texas shelter. Both are about six months old and particularly bonded, so they’ll need to be adopted together. Carolina is still getting used to people and new experiences, having had little socialization before, but she’s more comfortable around other dogs. She and Nevada were initially shy and frightened but are loosening up as they settle in. Neither is fully leash trained just yet, so a quiet home with a fenced yard would be the right fit. Carolina has been spayed, microchipped, and her vaccines are all current. Expect her to reach about 20 pounds as she matures (currently around 12–15 pounds). Carolina and Nevada are looking for a patient adopter who can show them gentle kindness and help them discover what it means to truly belong. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Carolina

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Carolina, as a Corgi, does well in a home that offers consistent routines and gentle interaction. She will thrive in a peaceful household, ideally with a fenced yard, where she and her bonded sibling can play safely.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Carolina would benefit from a secure, fenced yard for exercise and play, especially since she is not yet leash trained. Corgis are active puppies and need regular outdoor time to burn energy.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Corgis like Carolina can be good with children if carefully socialized, but since she is shy and adjusting, older, quieter kids or a calm adult home may suit her best as she gains confidence.
