About Kaido
Kaido ended up in a shelter kennel after a spell on the streets, but despite his rough past, he greets everyone with a wag and soft, hopeful eyes. When he first arrived, his nails were unbearably long—walking must have been painful—yet he never lost his gentle spirit. At around 4 years old and a solid 55 pounds, Kaido is the kind of dog who's ready to tag along for a hike, sprawl across the living room for movie night, and probably steal your spot on the couch when you get up. He’s got a broad, blocky head, an oversized nose, and that trademark black-dog grin you can’t say no to. He's shown polite interest when passing other dogs and enjoys brief nose-to-nose greetings, though he hasn’t been officially dog or cat tested just yet. Kaido’s easy charm and deep well of kindness stick with you, and his patience is something to admire—especially knowing how often black dogs are overlooked in the system. Let Kaido’s future be full of soft beds instead of cement floors, belly rubs in place of lonely nights, and, above all, a family that won’t pass him by. Ready to fall in love?
