She thrives on human attention and enjoys being close to her people. Once she feels safe, she becomes a sweet, affectionate, and devoted companion who loves cuddles and companionship. Like many dogs who have experienced uncertainty in life, Olivia can be nervous when meeting new people. When she feels scared, she may react defensively at first. This is fear-based behavior, not true aggression. Given a little patience, understanding, and a calm introduction, she quickly realizes she is safe and her loving personality shines through. Because of this, we are looking for an adult-only home with experienced adopters who understand fearful dogs and are willing to give her the time she needs to settle in. In the right home, Olivia will reward her family with endless love, loyalty, and companionship. She is a wonderful little dog who simply needs someone willing to look past her initial worries and see the amazing girl she truly is.
