Meet Gunthergunner, a one-of-a-kind Australian Shepherd mix with no shortage of personality or drive. His first months were rough—he was struck by a car as a puppy, facing a broken femur and a tough recovery in the shelter system. Despite it all, Gunthergunner bounced back, mending physically and keeping his fire. Now fully healed and about a year old, he’s strong, speedy, and sharp as a tack. This is a dog with serious energy: quick-thinking, highly food motivated, and eager to be busy. He expects action—training, hiking, running, or anything that lets him move and learn. Gunthergunner is crate and potty trained, solid on a leash, and gets along with both dogs and cats. Herding instincts run deep, so no livestock homes for this guy. He will herd, chase, and organize anything around him, and his fascination with hoses keeps life interesting. To thrive, Gunthergunner needs someone experienced with working-type dogs who will appreciate his high drive, keep him engaged, and be ready for lots of activity and connection. Deep down, he wants a person to bond with and a life that goes full throttle. If you’re up for a clever, communicative dog with gusto, Gunthergunner is waiting in Arlington, TX. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
