About Churro
Churro, with a name as sweet as her temperament, is a tiny blend of Chihuahua and Italian Greyhound in Palo Alto, CA. At about 8 pounds, she moves through life with a surprising blend of spunk, caution, and endearing devotion. When Churro first landed in foster care, she was reserved and tentative—windows wide open to a world she wasn’t sure she could trust yet. Slowly, with consistency and lots of patience, she’s let her true character emerge. Day by day, she’s become more playful and confident. Churro spends her days hanging out beside her foster family, always eager to supervise household happenings and keep her people close. She adores sunbathing, quick play sessions, and being a steadfast lap companion once she knows you’re safe. Churro is cautious when meeting new people, preferring slow, calm introductions, but her loyalty and affection blossom for those patient enough to earn it. She’s known as the “household security chief”—alert, protective, yet gentle-hearted with a silly streak. Her current foster home includes another dog, and Churro gets along great with him—though she likes to believe she’s the team leader. She’s making steady progress building confidence during leash walks and adjusts well to a routine, sleeping soundly through the night. Churro is house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She appreciates a relaxed, stable environment and does best with adults or older kids who understand she needs time to trust. From her slender silhouette parading through the house to her love of cozy laps and warm sunshine, Churro is equal parts companion and comedian. She is ready to find a home ready to help her keep blossoming and offer a spot in the heart—and maybe a seat in the security department. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
