About Tobi
Here he comes—it's Tobi! Tiny Tobi is a three-year-old, seven-pound bundle of energy and charm, carrying himself with the confidence of a much bigger cat. Around the shelter, he’s a known character: a playful spirit, fan favorite, and the current longest resident at Pixie. Tobi thrives on attention, always ready for a game or a session of hide-and-seek with toy mice. He’s sharp, too—one of his fosters even taught him to sit for treats. At night, Tobi loves to curl up and be a bed-buddy, but in daylight he’s on the move, curious about everything in his world. He wakes up with the sun—perfect if you’re an early riser yourself. Because of his lively, sometimes rambunctious play style, Tobi’s best with adults or homes with older kids who can keep up with his antics. He is FIV positive, so he’ll need to stay strictly indoors for his health and that of other cats. This little guy doesn’t want to share his spotlight: Tobi needs to be your one and only pet, as he doesn’t get along with cats or dogs. From foster notes: Tobi will greet you at the door, chatter in your presence, and curl up at your feet—his company is as steady as it is entertaining. As an Aries (born April 17), he brings that classic mix of boldness and curiosity to everything he does. He is neutered, vaccinated, and will arrive microchipped. Questions about Tobi
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tobi, being a Domestic Short Hair, does best in a comfortable indoor environment. He’ll thrive in a home with plenty of space to climb and safe spots to lounge, especially since he needs to stay indoors as an FIV-positive cat.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic Short Hairs like Tobi can adapt well to indoor living and don’t require any outdoor space, especially in his case where remaining indoors is important for his health.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Tobi’s playful energy could be a good fit for homes with older children who can respect his boundaries. However, given his rowdy play style, he isn’t a match for families with small kids.
