#Journey We named her Journey because it feels like she’s been on one. When Journey arrived at HHPP, she was covered in fleas and ticks and clearly hadn’t had an easy road. But through it all, she has remained incredibly gentle, kind, and sweet. Just over a year old and around 35–40 pounds, Journey is one of those dogs who doesn’t ask for much. She quietly walks by your side like she’s always belonged there. She keeps her crate spotless, doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, and carries herself with a calmness that is rare for such a young pup. Her fur is as soft as velvet, and when you spend time with her, you can’t help but wonder what she’s been through and how she managed to stay so loving. She’s still a little scared and unsure of this big world, but every day we see her gaining a little more confidence. What she needs now isn’t another stop along the way. She needs a destination. A soft bed. A family. A place where she never has to wonder where she’s sleeping tonight. A home where her needs come first and where she can finally put down roots. Journey has traveled far enough.
