About Lazarus "lazzie"
Lazarus, also called Lazzie, Russie, or just Laz, is a 3-4 year old black Lab mix in Houston, TX who has really figured out the art of relaxation. About 50 lbs., he's a gentle and quiet soul with a shiny black coat who prefers soft beds and snuggling to anything rowdy. Lazzie thrives around other dogs—he’s lived with both a tiny chihuahua and a big pittie, and handles the mix with ease. He’ll happily lounge the day away next to them or his people, showing off his soft, calm nature. When Lazzie’s out and about, he makes friends everywhere; at adoption events he’s sweet to new faces and settles in quickly when his dog buddies are nearby. He comes from a rough beginning, found alone and sick, but he’s healthy and strong now, having made an incredible recovery. He’s kennel and house trained, fully vaccinated, and neutered. The rescue thinks he'd do fine with cats and kids, but he’s definitely a dog’s dog, loving company and never pushy. In all, Lazzie is the kind of steady companion that fits smoothly into a laid-back home looking for a gentle, low-key friend. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
