Her favorite activities include finding cozy hiding spots, observing the world from a comfortable distance, and enjoying peaceful naps in a comfy setting. She does enjoy her playtime, always determined to catch her wand toy and be rewarded with a treat. Katya isn't looking for spotlight- she's looking for someone who understands that the best friendships sometimes take a little time to bloom. Companionship and gentleness is important for Katya, who would do well as an only cat with someone who is dedicated and committed to building her confidence, or a cat friend who is laid back, likes to play, and can also be independent and give her space to warm up. No young kiddos for our shy girl, just quietness and comfort as she begins to show her true self. About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
