Meet Alfalfa AKA: The Muscle Queen. The Weighted Blanket. The Morning Kiss Monster. Alfalfa is a 4 year old Staffordshire girl with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. At 54 pounds, she doesn’t exactly do anything halfway, whether it’s cuddling, zoomies, or demanding you stay in bed 15 more minutes while she hunkers down directly on top of you like the world’s cutest weighted blanket. She’s fully house trained, crate trained (though honestly she just treats her crate like her personal studio apartment), spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and an absolute sweetheart with people and dogs. She hasn’t had a single indoor accident since being with me and is really good at communicating when she needs to go outside. She loves car rides, and is leash trained but pulls and needs redirection at times. She lives with her current foster dad and loves women and children as well. She has a lot of energy and would be best with older kids. She also lives with an older dog and enjoys going on walks and meeting new doggie friends. She hasn't been around cats other than strolls down the street. At this time, we aren't sure if she's cat friendly. Now let’s talk about the zoomies. This diva LOVES walks… but she loves them with her whole entire body. If she hasn’t gotten her energy out first, she can turn into a one-dog parade and absolutely tangle me up mid-walk. I’ve learned her patterns by now She does AMAZING when she has access to a backyard before walks, and I truly think she’d thrive in a home where she can run around and burn energy before adventuring. Inside the house though? Total couch potato. She spends most of her time sleeping, cuddling, carrying around her lamb toys, and giving the sweetest wake-up lick attacks every morning. I originally kennelled her while at work, but she naturally gravitated to her crate anyway, so now she freely roams the apartment with zero issues. She’s never destroyed anything besides maybe nibbling a shirt sleeve or two. She’d make such a fun road trip dog, adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and loyal best friend for someone who understands big dogs with big energy and even bigger love.
