Meet DJ — Ready for a Fresh Start Found as a stray in a busy shopping area, DJ was brought to our shelter to get her to a safe place and to give any possible owner the opportunity to find her. Not chipped and with no ID tag, she remained with us for her required stray hold. After being displayed on our website for owners to find, no one came to reclaim her. With no family stepping forward, DJ now moves up to adoption and will be available when we open at 11am tomorrow, May 30. This beautiful girl has already met another smaller spayed female since arriving, and she did great right from the start. She was friendly, ran up to her new friend immediately, offered play bows, and showed off her impressive zoomie skills. This super friendly and goofy girl has done wonderfully during all interactions here and is ready for a new start. Because she was a stray, we do not know how she does with cats and cannot test for this. As always, we recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children to ensure a great match for everyone. Please come meet this beautiful, calm, and reserved girl in person to see if she is meant to spend forever with your family. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters should establish veterinary care after adoption to maintain their new pet’s health.
