Meet Cornelius! He may be small, but he'll fill a big space in your heart. Corny loves to snuggle up with his people, is good with respectful children and other dogs of all sizes, as well as ignores cats. He has also had the chance to meet chickens, ducks, and goats which he enjoys watching, but hasn't tried to chase. Corny is about 90% potty-trained and is able to go all night without an accident or needing to go outside. For Cornelius, routine and consistency will be key to long-term success and a happy fur-ever home! He does display occasional resource guarding behavior over food, toys, and "his people." This behavior has only ever been displayed towards other dogs and is able to be redirected. Corny is still nervous about quick movements, loud noises, and moving shadows likely due to his background. We're hopeful he will continue to gain confidence as he progresses! He may take a while to come out of his shell, but once he is comfortable with you, he will be your buddy for life!
