Lancelot is a large, neutered male Poodle/Cane Corso/Mastiff mix currently located in Guthrie, OK. He is an adult with up-to-date vaccinations and is house trained. His impressive stature is matched by his big personality, and he’s looking for an active home that understands the needs of giant breeds.

About Lancelot

Lancelot is hard to miss—he’s a towering, strong mix of Poodle, Cane Corso, and Mastiff, carrying a whole lot of energy and even more heart. He came in as a stray and easily stands out in any crowd with both his sheer size and playful spirit. Leash skills and training are still a work in progress, and whoever takes Lancelot home should be ready to put in the time and have past experience with giant breeds. He’ll need plenty of room to move, and having a similarly confident, playful canine friend would probably suit him best. Lancelot does very well in playgroups but can become overwhelming for dogs that prefer a gentler approach, so dog intros are a must. He’s proud of his toy collection and will chase a stuffed animal as long as anyone will throw it. When excited, Lancelot jumps up or gives an enthusiastic nip—not out of aggression, but pure joy—and for that reason, a home without small children (under 10) is the safest match. He’s all sweetness and affection, despite not knowing his own strength. A home without cats is ideal. If you’re searching for a devoted, lovable giant who just wants to belong, Lancelot is ready for that next chapter. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Lancelot

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

A dog like Lancelot, with Poodle, Cane Corso, and Mastiff lineage, thrives in a home with ample space, ideally one with a fenced yard. He isn’t built for apartment living—he’ll do best where there’s plenty of room to roam and stretch out.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Given Lancelot’s large size and high energy, daily access to a sizeable outdoor area is best. He benefits from lots of exercise and would flourish in a yard where he can play and run.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Lancelot’s exuberance and size make him better suited for homes with older kids, likely 10 years or older. He may accidentally knock over or startle smaller children, so a home with infants or toddlers is not ideal.
