About Whiskey
Whiskey is an active, affectionate small mixed-breed Yorkshire Terrier with a soft, medium coat in black and tan. He came from an apartment setting that wasn't a fit for his needs and has been living with family, but he'd do best as the only dog. Though shy around new dogs, Whiskey enjoys dog parks and plays well once he feels comfortable, but can be dominant around other resident dogs at home. He hasn't lived with cats but would likely be wary or nervous around them. Whiskey is crate-trained and paper-trained, and will happily perform a sit on command for a treat. He loves to play and zoom around but is also a snuggler who likes a soft lap. Whiskey gets along with children, though older kids are best since he occasionally growls if someone tries to take something from him and likes to nibble on shirt sleeves. He's never bitten anyone. Whiskey is protective—he’ll bark if something unusual happens around the house. He enjoys car rides, eating out, and walks well on leash, so he makes a cheerful companion everywhere. Whiskey's hoping for a home where he can be deeply included and loved. If you’re looking for an energetic buddy who also appreciates quiet cuddle time, he’s worth a close look. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
