About Joe Cool
Joe Cool stands out everywhere he goes, both for his striking looks and his easy-going, social personality. He’s a tall guy, reaching up to 31 inches at the shoulder, with a sturdy build right around 80 lbs. Joe turns two this August and has spent his life so far as a housepet. He ended up in rescue after being surrendered because he drools at meals and sometimes ignores his person if he picks up an interesting scent (classic hound behavior). Joe grew up with children and gets along great with them. He started life as the only dog in his house but, in foster care, he’s fit right in with a group of other hounds and does well with every one of them. His foster hasn’t tested him with cats yet, but that can be checked if you have feline roommates. He doesn’t try to escape the fence, rides easily in the car, walks well on leash, and knows a few basic commands. Joe is crate trained and learning about house training. He leans in close for pets and is surprisingly cuddly for a big dog. While Joe will make noise when someone approaches your home, he greets newcomers with a wag and a smile, making himself instantly likable. He’s happy to play alone, especially with his favorite balls, but also plays nicely and shares with other dogs. Joe is waiting in northwest Georgia for the right home. What are you waiting for?
