About Stella
Stella is a striking German Shepherd/Collie mix with a long, luxurious coat and a story that sets her apart. She came into rescue after being found in an abandoned trailer, caring for her newborn puppies. Stella poured herself into motherhood until her pups were old enough to find their own way, then she let them go and started claiming space for herself. With people, she’s affectionate and wants to please, and she’s sharp—food gets her attention fast and she’ll work for it, sometimes with a mischievous glint in her eye. Now about two years old, Stella thrives on solo yard time and one-on-one attention. She’s not interested in mingling with other dogs or cats, often barking at them to set her boundaries, even with her own offspring. If you have a home where Stella can be your only canine companion, she’ll reward you with loyalty and a willingness to learn new tricks—she’s smart and eager when you spend real time with her. House trained and up to date on vaccinations, Stella is finishing up her heartworm treatment and will be spayed soon. She needs an adopter ready to dedicate time to training and bonding. Stella is currently in Kingwood, TX and, as a Taurus, you’ll find she’s loyal to her people and pretty stubborn when she makes up her mind. Your new best friend is just one click away.
