Meet Smudge! This fluffy black puppy is a 4 month old Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix with the perfect combination of cuddly and adventurous. Thanks to a DNA test from his recently adopted sister, we now know Smudge is a Border Collie Lab mix, which makes perfect sense for this smart, playful, affectionate boy! We expect him to be around 60-70 pounds full grown. Smudge had a rough start to life after being found dumped outside a tire shop in San Bernardino. Shortly after arriving with us, he unfortunately contracted Parvo while outside our facility. Thankfully, we caught it very early and got him immediate veterinary care. Smudge responded quickly to treatment and made a full recovery within just a few days. Now he’s healthy, thriving, and ready for a forever family of his own. Smudge is the definition of a cuddle bug. He absolutely loves being held, giving kisses, and soaking up attention 🥹 but once cuddle time is over, he’s ready to play, explore, and go on adventures. He’s been well socialized with other dogs and would likely do great with many types of families, but like any young Border Collie/Lab mix, he’ll need exercise, training, and structure as he grows.
