About Hera
Hera is currently fostered in NYC and can be transported anywhere in the Northeast. Sheās a deeply affectionate, 3-year-old pittie mix with a brilliant sploot and a soft, gray-and-white, short coat. Hera lives for cuddles, belly rubs, and showing off her stuffies, always gentle about sharing her love. Sheāll patiently wait for an invitation onto the couch, offers kisses when asked, and gently reminds you when sheās not done being petted. Hera is house and crate trained, sleeps calmly at night, naps during the day, and takes treats with care. Sheās smart, already masters "sit," "paw," "come," and "leave it," and enjoys learning new skills as part of her routine. She takes medication and routine care wellāespecially if treats are involvedāand loves a food treat, especially apples or pears. Hera is still working on her confidence outside the home and needs an adopter ready to provide continuous training, structure, and gentle, consistent support. High-stimulation situations can overwhelm her, sometimes resulting in pulling or nippingānot out of malice, but because she gets overstimulated. Heraās ideal home is adult-only or has older, dog-savvy teens, with someone experienced who understands her boundaries and is comfortable managing a strong leash walker. She craves gentle handling and predictability. If startled, she may flinch, but quickly relaxes with calm reassurance. In the right home, Hera will shower her people with loyalty and softness. Sheās come far already, and with the support she needs, sheāll become a devoted and loving companion. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Hera
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Hera is a mixed breed dog who thrives in a calm and structured household. She feels most comfortable in an adult-only home or one with older teenage children who are experienced with dogs, and she prefers a predictable, gentle environment.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Hera, being a medium-sized mixed breed, benefits from regular walks and some space to stretch her legs, but she values quality time more than the actual size of the yard. A fenced yard is nice but not required for a committed owner.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Hera does best in adult-only homes or those with dog-savvy older teenagers. She would not be a good fit for households with small children due to her need for gentle and predictable handling.
