About Murdock Mvjct
Murdock Mvjct is a large, active Labrador Retriever mix based in Missouri City, TX. He was born October 8, making him a Libra—with all the adaptability and social energy that sign brings. Life hasn’t been smooth for Murdock: he’s completely blind and was abandoned by his previous owner, but a determined neighbor stepped in and got him into rescue. Despite his blindness, Murdock navigates new spaces quickly after ‘mapping’ them, and his zest for neighborhood and park walks is undiminished. He knows the “follow” cue and is working on more commands to aid him on leash. Crates are off limits for Murdock—he has crate anxiety and avoids small spaces, but with free roam, he’s proven to be reliably house trained and isn’t destructive when left alone. Murdock adores other dogs and is a rough-and-tumble player, though he needs to eat meals separately. He’s a big cuddler who relishes attention, pets, and warmth, and will shine in a home that understands and values his blindness as part of who he is. He’ll need an environment with people committed to keeping him safe and helping him stay oriented. Murdock does not get along with cats. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
