About Max
Max started out as a tiny stray found wandering a quiet road in Calloway County, rescued by a kind passerby when he was just six weeks old and barely four pounds. Today, Max is about two months old, safe in a loving foster home, and ready for a permanent family. Labeled a Labrador Retriever mix, he shows off classic Lab traits: upbeat, always social, and happiest playing with other dogs. His apricot and chocolate coloring make him stand out. Max has a short coat, and while he's still a baby, he's expected to grow into a small to medium size dog. This pup thrives on love and engagement—he’ll do best with people who want to include him in their daily life. While house-training is underway, any adopter will need to bring patience and consistency to help him adjust. Max is dog-friendly and good with kids, making him a great fit for a busy household. He’s up-to-date on vaccines, healthy, and comes with everything needed for a strong start—including microchipping when adopted. Note: he isn’t neutered yet, but the rescue provides a reimbursement for the procedure once completed. His official birthday is March 2, 2026, making him a Pisces—usually affectionate and eager to please. Max is adoptable nationwide, but his adopter needs to travel to Murray, KY and complete paperwork in person. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
