Bugs is currently in Metropolis, IL, and, due to his blindness, benefits from a gentle, attentive environment. He requires special attention because of his past health challenges.

About Bugs

Bugs is about ten years old and has seen more than his share of tough times. After being surrendered with two other dogs because his original owners could no longer care for them, Bugs was adopted—only to wind up neglected, tied outside, limping, and blind. When the shelter learned what happened, they stepped in, treated his broken paw, and gave him the medical attention he badly needed. His vision may be gone, but it hardly seems to bother him anymore. Now, he’s a friendly, easygoing dog who gets along well with other dogs and loves meeting new people. Bugs is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a family willing to give him the loving retirement he deserves. He is not house trained and does not get along with cats. If you're looking for a loyal senior companion, Bugs would be grateful to finally have a steady home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
