Koala
AvailableKoala is a gray and white Domestic Short Hair adult cat residing in Manchester, MD. She is spayed, vaccinated, house trained, and adjusted to living as a blind cat. Koala has special needs from severe head trauma but continues to thrive in a loving foster environment with children, dogs, and other cats.
About Koala
Koala has overcome injuries that would have stopped most. She survived severe head trauma, losing her sight, with a feeding tube and blood transfusion holding her steady through the roughest patch. Through it all, she's landed on her feet—now perfectly content to eat on her own, blind but adaptable, and with sparkling bloodwork. Koala operates by her own rules: she sometimes wanders, naps like she’s clocked overtime, and startles if you move in without letting her know. Give her a voice cue before a pet and she’ll settle right in. After everything, her quirks are minor. She’s lived with kids, cats, and dogs, and as long as housemates give her space and respect her needs, she fits in. Koala’s heart belongs to a 12-year-old girl, though she’ll bond with anyone ready to accept her as she is. She’s waiting in the ICU house so her adoption will open up a much-needed spot for another animal in crisis. Ready for a cat who wears her survival like a badge? What are you waiting for?
