Meet Nala 💙 Nala is a young husky mix with stunning blue eyes and the sweetest, gentlest demeanor. Her story is honestly unbelievable. Nala was found as a stray here in New Jersey and, like so many huskies, was sadly never reclaimed. But what shocked us was her microchip information — all we could trace was that the chip had originally come from a shelter in Los Angeles. Somehow, in a very short amount of time, this young dog ended up all the way across the country. We can’t even begin to imagine what she’s been through, but it’s clearly taken a toll on her. Nala is really struggling in the shelter environment. She appears to have some hearing loss, which we think makes everything even more confusing and stressful for her. Inside the shelter she is nervous, timid, and overwhelmed. But the second she steps outside into our play yard, you can literally watch the stress melt away. That’s when the real Nala shines through — a kind, gentle, sweet dog who just wants peace, patience, and love. This girl deserves so much more than a kennel. We are urgently looking for an experienced adopter and/or rescue to help Nala finally get the life she deserves. She needs a calm environment, understanding people, and a chance to decompress after everything she’s endured. She’s been through too much already. Let’s get Nala out of the shelter and into a home where she can finally feel safe again. 🐾
