Laszlo and Cassidy are a well-loved, bonded pair that have earned the favor of every volunteer who meets them. Laszlo, a 5-year-old small black Corgi mix, spent much of his early life as a stray at a county fairground, only growing comfortable with people after months of gentle handling. He craves touch—chest rubs and scratches put him in his happy place, and he’s not food motivated unless there’s affection first. Laszlo still feels anxious about leashes due to past traumatic experiences, so consistent, patient rehabilitation is key for his ongoing adjustment. Cassidy, a 3-year-old terrier mix, is bubbly, playful, and loves to greet every human or dog she meets. Despite all her energy and love for playtime, she can become anxious around young children, likely due to negative past experiences. Both dogs are happiest playing together, sharing toys, and zooming around a secure yard. Their ideal home is calm, experienced, and adult-only, with a very secure fenced yard. Laszlo and Cassidy need patient people fully committed to ongoing positive reinforcement, praise, and understanding.
