**Meet Hoppy – A Sweet Senior with Plenty of Pep** Hoppy is a 13-year-old Shih Tzu mix who weighs 18 pounds and proves that senior dogs still have plenty of fun and love to give. This friendly, outgoing little guy is equal parts playful companion and professional napper. Hoppy is house trained and tolerates his crate, though he’d much rather snooze on a comfy dog bed in his foster parents’ room. He enjoys toys, short walks, time spent in the yard, and even a game of fetch now and then. He’s also a smart boy who knows sit, stay, down, and “go to your spot.” His foster parents describe him as smart, curious, playful, and incredibly sweet. While he enjoys relaxing and taking long naps, he also loves hanging out with his people and being part of the action. Hoppy hasn’t been exposed to kids in our care, but given his gentle personality, we believe he would do well with respectful children. We were also told he can be selective with other dogs, though he has not been formally tested in our care. Described as friendly, confident, happy, playful, and quiet, Hoppy is the perfect mix of laid-back and lively. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share cozy evenings and sunny afternoons with, Hoppy may be your perfect match. His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
