About Penny
Penny is a sweet senior Yorkshire Terrier who’s handled more than her share of change and uncertainty. Passed from home to home without proper medical care, she finally landed in loving hands and started making up for lost time. She’s been spayed, had tumors removed (all benign), and come out of surgery with restored health and her spark intact. Now eight or nine, Penny has slipped easily into foster life, blending with small dogs and teens, but her real allegiance is to her chosen person. She bonds deeply and quickly becomes your pint-sized shadow—and sometimes, your supervisor. Full of opinions, affection, and a stubborn streak, Penny will bark her gummy little heart out to let you know when something’s on her mind. She’s not much for toys but loves walks, car rides (especially in a warm lap), and being at the center of daily home life. Potty trained and polite indoors, she tolerates crates but wants to be close to you. Penny thrives on a calm routine and seems happiest in a relaxed home with adults or teens who know to respect her boundaries and approach. She’s indifferent to strangers, cautious about being picked up, and not interested in being the center of attention at gatherings. Give her time, space, consistent care, and she’ll reward you with endless quirks, love, and a devoted presence. Your new best friend is just one click away.
