At about 3 years and 10 months old, they have shown themselves to be gentle and affectionate, especially when settled in a calm environment. As a bonded pair, these two thrive together, and their FIV-positive status has not affected their health or ability to live full, happy lives.

Tilly and Smudge are two fluffy, inseparable siblings looking for a fresh start together in Grand Rapids, MI. After a rough beginningāfound abandoned with soaked cat foodāthey found safety and, for a time, a loving home together. Recently returned through no fault of their own, they are now readjusting to life at the shelter, settling in with caution but obvious sweetness. Both cats have soft, long coats and a habit of sprouting funny tufts of fur from their feet. Tilly is a bit smaller and sprinkles affection liberally, while Smudge, with his namesake spot, loves a good belly rub. Wand toys are a hit with both, and they never turn down wet food or treatsāfood is a great icebreaker with these two. While a little timid at first in new surroundings, Tilly and Smudge are gentle and adaptable with time. They have lived peacefully with other cats and children. Both are FIV-positive, which simply means they benefit from regular care and a stable indoor homeājust like any healthy cat. They have never had any illness related to the virus, and FIV is not contagious through casual contact. Their adopter must be willing to take them as a bonded pair and allow for a gentle transitionāpatience now brings big rewards later. Tilly and Smudge are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Born July 8th, their Cancer sun sign makes them extra nurturing and loving at heart. Adoption fee is sponsored for both together.
