AvailableAbout Kensey
Kensey is a real live teddy bear, adorable, cuddly, and sweet. She is working on all her training to be the best companion for some lucky person. This precious girl has already overcome a rough start in life after being heartlessly dumped in a front yard in TN along with her brother Rooney (also up for adoption). Thankfully, fate stepped in when the homeowner happened to be involved in dog rescue, and the puppies were quickly brought to the safety of a loving southern foster home where they are being given TLC and training while they wait for the forever families they truly deserve. Like most happy puppies, these two are full of love, curiosity, and playful energy. They are friendly, affectionate, and eager to soak up attention from everyone they meet. Both pups do wonderfully with dogs of all ages and sizes and are even learning how to respectfully interact with the resident cats, though they still enjoy a little playful puppy curiosity now and then. They are making great progress with house training and are already becoming comfortable with crate time when needed. As young puppies, they will continue to need guidance, structure, and ongoing training to help them grow into well-mannered adult dogs. Their future families should be prepared for all the joys and responsibilities that come with raising puppies, including continued socialization, patience, and positive reinforcement training. These siblings are looking for loving homes where they can continue learning, growing, and most importantly, being cherished members of the family. After such an uncertain beginning, they are more than ready for the happy ending they deserve. This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE--Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time? IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
