About Moss
Moss didn’t show up with a big, dramatic backstory—he appeared more like some small creature out of the woods, poking around the parking lot of a Dollar General. Even after being abandoned, he’s managed to keep his gentle heart and eager spirit. Moss is a young, medium-sized hound/shepherd mix with a sweet, shy way about him. He might seem hesitant with new people, but a slow approach and a toy or two, and Moss will ease up, showing his playful, loyal side. He thrives on simple pleasures: unique smells on his walks, silly games with dog buddies, a stash of toys, and quiet moments curled up near people he trusts. Moss is crate trained, housebroken, and making progress with basic commands. At about a year old, he’s fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped—ready for a new chapter. He’s searching for a patient and loving home, somewhere with soft blankets, snacks, and space for exploring the world nose-first. He gets along well with dogs and children and would do best in a home ready to give him both gentle structure and some fun adventures. Applications must be submitted online, and his rescue only sets up meet-and-greets for approved adopters able to visit in person in south Georgia. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
