About Gunner
Gunner is a five-year-old Pit Bull with a strong personality and plenty of love to spare. He's looking for a home that truly understands high-energy dogs and is up for both his zest for activity and his softer, cuddly side. Gunner was adopted once, but his energy level was too much for his adopters. He thrives with outlets for both mind and body—think hiking, jogging, or long walks. Afterward, he's all about winding down and sharing close cuddles, especially if you let him share your bed. At about 56 pounds, Gunner is athletic and bonds quickest with men, although he will form a powerful connection with anyone who invests patience and consistency. Once trust is built, he becomes deeply attached and wants to stick close. He should be the only pet in a home, and he's best suited to an adult-only environment where structure and calm routine help him settle in. Gunner is crate trained, potty trained, and already knows his basic commands. He's actively working on leash manners and improving with ongoing handling. He also takes joint supplements for his hips so he can keep moving comfortably. Gunner will reward a dedicated adopter with genuine devotion, endless cuddling, and a truly special bond. If you're active, patient, and looking for both an adventure partner and a couch companion, Gunner could be the one. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
