Odin
AvailableOdin is a brindle Mastiff with a short coat, currently living in Ashland, VA. He’s a young, extra-large, neutered male who is up to date on vaccinations and reliably house trained. Odin needs someone experienced with his breed to help him thrive.
About Odin
Odin is back and looking for his true home. He’s a massive, energetic Mastiff with a deep need for structure and reassurance. Big-hearted but under-trained, Odin doesn’t quite grasp his own size or strength, and he often lets his anxiety get the better of him. He lights up when toys and treats are involved—especially if they squeak or squish—and will do anything for a good snack. Odin has dropped a lot of weight since he was last here, so he’ll need hearty meals and steady care. He must have an experienced Mastiff owner who can handle his dominance, especially around other dogs, and who’s ready to commit to serious training and boundaries. Odin gets overwhelmed without strong leadership. He’s not a fit for everyone, but for the right person, he’ll be worth the effort. If you have experience with giant breeds and want to give a dog a second chance, Odin is ready to meet you. A meet-and-greet with other dogs in your home is highly recommended since he’s dominant and selective. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Large, fenced yards are ideal for Mastiffs like Odin. They enjoy having room to roam and play, though they're not as high-energy as some smaller breeds and don't require constant activity.
