Soda A184666 47 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -This young, sweet girl is looking for a special adopter or foster! -She is very nervous and needs a lot of time to build trust and confidence. -In the yard she had her tail tucked while exploring and sniffing. A loud truck went by and scared her. She jumped a couple feet and was looking for the culprit. She then wanted to be in my lap for comfort. She relaxes and enjoys pets once comfortable and safe! -She is very food motivated and takes them very gently. She will however only eat them when she is comfortable. She seems to know "sit" but doesn't always oblige. She loves lounging around with a long lasting chew or bone! -She spent some time in the office with us where she started to open up and show a playful side. She was play bowing and romping around. She still gets nervous with quick movements but is making great strides! -She will eventually flip over for belly rubs when she trusts you -She is affectionate and gives kisses -She's not currently showing any interest in toys and my squeaker made her nervous -She's just a very young girl who is very nervous here and needs time and patience -She walks nicely on a leash -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
