About Peter Pan

Peter Pan is part of a ten-puppy litter that was found abandoned on the streets of Houston, and he’s now soaking up love in a foster home in Austin, Texas while awaiting adoption. At around 9 weeks old and just 3 pounds, Peter Pan is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix with an adventurous streak—he’ll sneak off for solo wanderings, only to bounce back to his siblings for energetic games and playtime. He may be tiny, but he has a gentle, sweet spirit, enjoys cozy naps, and puts thought into all he does. He’s also social and surprisingly brave for his size. Peter Pan gets along with kids, cats, and dogs when introduced calmly, but given his small size, any pets in the home need to be gentle and familiar with little dogs. Supervision during interactions is important. His heritage is a bit of a mystery—nobody knows his parents, so his full-grown size is unpredictable. Adopters should be up for the fun and surprises of raising a puppy. Peter Pan is learning how to be a dog, working on crate and potty training, and will thrive with structure, positive reinforcement, and hands-on guidance. He can’t be left alone for long, so a home with someone around most of the time is needed; if you’re away for over 4 hours, there must be another adult available to care for him. His energy and loving temperament promise plenty of fun, chaos, and affection for whoever opens their heart and home. Your new best friend is just one click away.
