About Murphy

Murphy is a 4-month-old Anatolian/Hound mix settling into shelter life alongside his three equally oversized brothers. At around 30 pounds and still just a puppy, it's clear he'll be a very large adult. Even so, Murphy has a gentle side and an affectionate nature that shines through as he slowly gets used to all the routines and new faces around him. He may splay those long legs at awkward angles when he naps, but he’s quickly learning about leash walks, getting attention, and testing out all the classic puppy mischief. Murphy thrives with yard time and loves playing with his brothers until they're all worn out. His softer, sweet personality is showing more each day, and staff have noticed him gaining confidence. Any adopter should be ready to handle the energy, structure, and disciplined training that come with raising a giant-breed puppy like Murphy. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and on monthly preventatives. Murphy does well with other dogs and is reportedly good with children, but still needs continued house training. Click apply to start the adoption process.
