Meet Bourbon! Like a good bourbon, this handsome boy may be a little reserved at first, but with time and patience, his warm and sweet personality starts to shine through. Bourbon is still learning to trust the world around him and can be nervous in new situations, but he finds comfort in the company of other dogs and enjoys following their lead. Having a confident canine companion in his forever home would help him continue building confidence and feeling secure. Bourbon came to Mutts N Such Rescue alongside his mama and her newborn puppies after they had been living outside in a backyard and shed. His mama is a Chihuahua, and the neighbor’s scruffy white dog is said to be his dad, giving Bourbon his adorable unique look. Because of his past, he will need continued patience, understanding, and guidance while adjusting to life as a loved family member. Bourbon is also considered a flight risk, so he will need a home committed to careful introductions, secure fencing, and extra precautions to help keep him safe while he continues gaining confidence. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet boy who deserves the chance to finally relax, feel secure, and know what it means to be truly loved. He was born in May 2024 and is being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas.
