About Frank
Meet Frank, a 7-8 month old with a soft heart who’s learning to be brave. His affection is quiet, earned with patience. He’s watchful at first, but once Frank feels safe, he turns into a lap magnet, thawing into pure sweetness. Snuggling is his comfort zone. Crates aren’t his thing—he prefers freedom paired with gentle encouragement. Frank especially loves sprinting around the house with his current dog roommate, ears flapping, curiosity on full display. He’s sharp, eager to figure things out, and rewards basic training with genuine delight. Squeaky toys are an easy way to his heart. What Frank needs most is a calm, experienced person with time and the willingness to help him bloom. Frank does best with a patient family willing to let him set the pace, preferably someone home during the day with another confident, social dog. A quiet environment and secure, fenced yard are musts. He gets along well with other dogs. Home visits are part of his adoption process, and adopters should live in the Chicago area or suburbs.
