About Nia

Nia is looking for a gentle and understanding home, ideally somewhere she can finally relax into everyday dog life. After a rough ordeal—her leg was severely injured by a train and had to be amputated—she’s coming out the other side with grit and heart. She has already started to show her resilience, and with a little encouragement, she’ll settle in and keep bouncing forward. At about nine months old, Nia is a tricolor mix of shepherd and rottweiler, weighing in at around 31 pounds. She’s house trained, up to date on her shots, negative for heartworm, and has a microchip. The Furry Farm Rescue will continue to support her medical needs, including a scheduled spay, as part of their foster to adopt program. Nia gets along well with other medium to large dogs, but she needs a home without cats or small pets. Adopting a tripod dog is no different than adopting any other, and she’ll be ready to play and snuggle soon. She’s available now in Rathdrum, ID, and would love to find that soft landing she deserves. Your new best friend is just one click away.
