About Zyon
Zyon is a sensitive, sweet-natured Doberman/Shepherd mix and only about five months old. His gentle brown eyes give away the nervousness that comes from spending most of his puppyhood surrounded by shelter walls, but he's getting braver every day thanks to a patient foster. Stairs? Toys? Even grass and trees were once daunting, but Zyon is learning to approach the world with more confidence—though quick movements and loud noises still put him on edge. Routine matters for Zyon. He loves mealtime and tends to eat quickly, a habit he's still working to outgrow. It's best to feed him separately, as he sometimes gets defensive around food with other dogs. He's happiest curling up for naps, sunbathing outside, or quietly watching the other dogs run and play. He's learning to play himself, but often prefers to just soak it all in. He sleeps well in a kennel, is crate-trained, and does great sleeping with dog buddies—he craves connection. Zyon loves a good neck or tummy scratch but is startled by kisses. With people, he's especially at ease with women and kids, but is finding his footing with men too. Left alone, he’s prone to a bit of howling, and would do best with someone who can offer patience and steady guidance as he navigates this big, noisy world. Zyon gets along well with other dogs and could do well with a cat given his mild temperament. If you're searching for a loyal snuggle buddy and a quiet walking companion, Zyon wants to meet you and build something lasting. Your new best friend is just one click away.
