About Winnie
Meet Winnie! Abandoned unexpectedly after years spent isolated in a garage, Winnie arrived with little socialization and plenty of confusion. When rescued, she was fearful of other dogs and had no leash manners, but she’s been working hard at Paws Up Vacay, making big strides every day. Winnie has a strong toy drive and forms tight bonds with her person—classic border collie focus. She does need a handler who understands her breed’s needs and can help her keep up the positive momentum. With another dog around, she may need careful management, as she’s learning not to guard toys or people. Winnie is affectionate, eager to connect, and loves to learn. She is house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and doing well with gentle, ongoing rehabilitation. Winnie gets along with both cats and dogs, and she’ll shine brightest in a home experienced with border collies or working breeds. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
