Charlie is a big, lively Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix currently thriving in a loving foster home near Ft Worth, TX. After a rough startāhe ended up on a shelter euthanasia list through no fault of his ownāCharlie got a real second chance and is making the most of it. He weighs about 85ā90 pounds and is around a year and a half old. Energetic and fun-loving, Charlie is happiest chasing balls (especially tennis balls, which rate high in his world) and will fetch and play keep-away for ages. Heās crate trained, fully house trained, vaccinated, neutered, and heartworm negative. Charlie shows a smart, attentive sideāhe already knows heel, sit, come, stay, and more, plus he's eager for advanced training. He rides well in cars, doesnāt have anxiety, and genuinely loves being out and about. Because of his size and bouncy energy, heād be best matched with an active adult household or with teens rather than young kids. He prefers female dogs for company and hasn't been tested with cats; his high energy may be a bit much for a feline roommate. Charlie is looking for someone ready for outdoor adventures, whether hiking, running, or just exploring together.
