About Jaxon
Jaxon is a gentle, affectionate 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who has come a long way from a rough start. At just 7.5 pounds, he was rescued from severe neglect, dangerously underweight, and matted to the skin. After being shaved down, he's now steadily regrowing his long coat and slowly becoming the charming little dog he was always meant to be. With proper care and good nutrition, Jaxon is gaining weight and confidence, making wonderful progress each week. He absolutely thrives on human companionship and wants nothing more than to snuggle in a lap or beside his people. Jaxon needs a calm, stable home where someone is around most of the time, as he enjoys being a true companion. He’s not fully house trained but does well with pee pads and frequent outdoor breaks, and tolerates a belly band if needed. Crates are a no-go for him; he needs a home that won’t use one. Jaxon gets along well with calm, similarly sized dogs and will join in gentle play when he’s feeling up to it. He’s easy to groom and handles nail trims without fuss. This little guy needs a patient family willing to continue helping him on his recovery and house training journey. In return, Jaxon offers boundless affection and loyalty—a devoted companion ready to find his happy ever after. Your new best friend is just one click away.
