About Silky
Silky is a 2-year-old Husky mix with a soft, short black and white coat. She spent her early days as a pregnant stray in Mississippi, but those hard times are behind her—now she’s waiting in foster care to make her way up to New England (no extra travel fee for adopters). Silky stands out for her mellow temperament and brings a calming energy to any room. She gets along well with other dogs and kids, so she’ll likely slot into most family homes with little trouble. Silky still needs a little time and patience around potty training as she settles into a real home environment, but she’s crate-trained and easy on leash. She has not met cats yet, but she’s handled a lot of change already; with her adaptable nature, a successful introduction seems possible. She was recently treated for heartworm and bounced back well. If you’re looking for a young, affectionate companion who’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and the joy of coming home to a friendly face, Silky could be your match.
