Luke is an 18-week-old hound mix who weighs about 18 pounds and sports a lovely tan coat. Abandoned early in life with his brother Bo, he hasn’t lost his gentle spirit or affectionate nature. Luke tends to be cautious with new people, but give him some patience and he soon reveals his playful, loving side. He interacts well with other dogs at an intermediate level—he’s picking up proper play skills and would likely appreciate a friendly and balanced canine friend in the home or regular social opportunities. Luke is still working on crate training, leash manners, and house training. He’s making steady progress, but, like any young puppy, he’ll need consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement to reach his full potential. He will be happiest in a patient home dedicated to helping him build confidence, especially one with children 5 or older. Luke’s vaccinations are up to date and he’s neutered.
