Louie is an 8-year-old, 27 lbs, friendly fella looking for a new home after his mom found it hard to care for him. His sweet personality shines through, and he gets along well with people, cats, and dogs — including toddlers who often share their snacks! While he enjoys a good sniffari, Louie prefers one-on-one play instead of dog park interactions. He is housetrained and feels comfortable in an open crate, although he dislikes having the door closed. Although generally laid-back, he can be mildly protective of his treats and toys, so it's best for his new family to have older children who can respect his space. Louie loves to snooze on the couch, his bed, or just about anywhere. He walks nicely on a leash, only pulling a bit when he catches an interesting scent. Generally quiet, he can join in when others bark. Typical of a beagle, Louie has a quirky side; he tiptoes on wet grass, jumps back after doing his business, enjoys empty car seats, and loves to hang out under beds and couches.
