We all smile with Sammy and you will too! Sammy is amazing, and he knows it. This calm, friendly fellow enjoys long chats (mostly monologues) and will happily tell you all about his day. He is great at listening as you chat with him. And has an opinion on everything! He loves pets, politely tolerates being held, and is highly motivated by cat treats-seriously, snacks are the fastest way to his heart. Sammy spent time in the front lobby condo and was interested in everyone walking by. Just yesterday he had a couple talking to him about the Orioles game and he nodded and purred. He is a favorite here in the shelter. Like most cats, Sammy does have some boundaries. Too much brushing or petting can put him into "okay, that's enough" mode, so he's best suited for a home with older kids or adults who understand subtle (and not-so-subtle) cat signals. He can be found chasing catnip mice, attacking the magic wand toy with gusto, and then boom it can be time for some chill out lounging around activity. With a gentle voice, sweet soul, and just a touch of sass, Sammy is ready to find his perfect match (catch that bit of rhyme there?) Maybe it's you!
