Britney is a very sweet, blind Chihuahua looking for a loving home. She weighs 9 pounds and is estimated to be around 4-6 years old. Britney came to our rescue from a hoarding situation in Connecticut. She has a neurological condition that affects her balance and coordination. She shows signs of vestibular impairment, some weakness on her right side, and frontal lobe and optic nerve abnormalities that have left her completely blind. But Britney is a happy, affectionate little dog who adapts remarkably well. Currently, her symptoms are mild and mostly include some circling and occasional dizziness when being picked up. We are unsure if these issues will become worse over time so continued vet visits will be important. Britney has been wonderful with other dogs and has an incredibly loving personality. She enjoys being petted, quickly learned her name, and has already mapped out the general layout of the rescue. We believe she was likely born blind or lost her vision very early in life. She navigates impressively well using sound and can follow the sound of your voice with ease.
