The Tiny Appalachian Woodsman Toulouse looks like a tiny fox that wandered out of the woods and accidentally joined a rescue instead of a folklore legend. This little guy is SO cute it almost feels medically unreasonable. He’s teeny tiny, brown and black, with those upright little ears that make him look permanently surprised by his own existence. If you’ve ever wanted a puppy that looks like he should live in a mushroom cottage and barter for berries, congratulations. We found your guy. Toulouse is sweet, playful, affectionate, and full of puppy curiosity. He’s dog-friendly, cat-friendly, people-friendly, and currently operating with the energy of a tiny woodland intern trying very hard to be included in everything. He follows people around like he’s taking attendance. He’s still learning all his puppy basics, but he already has that lovable “main character” energy where you can tell he’s going to become somebody’s entire personality trait in about three business days. His mama is only around 25–30 pounds, so we expect him to stay relatively small full grown — just enough dog to accompany you everywhere while still being portable enough to scoop up like an overgrown squirrel. Toulouse would fit beautifully into a home looking for a playful, affectionate little sidekick who will absolutely supervise every household task you attempt from now on. Cooking dinner? He’s there. Folding laundry? He’s involved. Crying over taxes? He’d like to sit nearby for emotional support.
