About Tuxie
Tuxie has the look of a black-tie dog, but he’s all about comfort and companionship. Rescued from the streets of Houston, he settled into foster life with an easy confidence, quick to make friends and never too busy for a nap session on the couch. With his tuxedo-style black and white coat, he prefers cuddling to grand entrances, winning people and pups over with his warm, easygoing nature. Tuxie is about a year old and a solid fifty pounds, blending old-soul calm with streaks of puppy playfulness. He learns fast, has nailed potty training, and is picking up leash manners and basic commands. He rarely barks, plays well with other dogs, and fits right in with his foster siblings. Cats and small animals aren’t for him, but he enjoys company—canine and human alike—and would do best in a home with another friendly dog. Families with children 10 and up are the best match for this sweet and loyal shadow. Let Tuxie bring a little more lightness to your life: he’s the dependable kind of companion who isn’t perfect, but is deeply present. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
